mpd 16 help me !

just copped me an mpd 16 today so i can get fruity loops cracking but i have no idea how to assign it etc it reads it fine in fruity loops but i dont know how to assign drums an get sound out of it via the fpc function i dont have a manual so a step by step how to from some one would be a big help as im a retard when it comes to computer things lol

you have rescanned in midi settings and MPD16 is working on other stuff...
so then open the FPC and some pads should trigger some random pads. maybe not.

so click on the pad (FPC) you want to assign then click MIDI NOTE then LEARN then hit the pad on the MPD you want to assign.

thanks bro shits a lil laggy but its working cheers for that i got my midi keyboard an mpd running now fruitys ahoy ! an yea you should do some boom bap style tutorials most tutorials are just for making cheese club beats an usually 5 minutes of dudes talking garbage lol

also last two questions man how can i stop my sample over lapping each other when i hit the pads ? and is there a way i can get timing correction on like 1/8 , 1/16 etc so i can slam the pads get em in time ?

dont know about timing, just hit the pads at the right time lol, if its lagging then go in your audi settings and mess with buffer size etc, make sure you got ASIO drivers installed in settings.

my axiom was lagging but only after i had recorded, bought an m-audio soundcard and now its good!

and to stop the samples over lapping. top right of the FPC theres 2 boxes CUT and BY make them both say 1 for each pad.

timings sweet got it off way better an no lagg now ! lol cheers for help man gota be a pain an ask one more question when i record with the fpc i do my hi hats 1st in a sequence when i record again to do say the other drums it just goes over what ive already done ? thanks for your help bro if i could figure this shit out my self i would its a big change from using an mpc so much more complicated.

hmm record each thing in a different pattern,

so pattern 1 = kicks
pattern 2 = snares/claps
pattern 3 = hats

etc, then lay them down on the playlist window

damn been awhile since i been up in here this forum still pumping ? if so got mpd questions. how do i clear all the sounds out of fpc when i load it up it has banks full of toms and crashes etc ? and how do i say switch banks ive been limiting myself to only 1 bank - 16 pads
